US Trip: What we like

Starting from the Silicon Valley, we like the entrepreneurship mindset of the people we met. All of them seem to have a courage to start doing things they believe in. The environment and culture there also support everyone to start something new. People can have a start-up company from nothing (not really nothing, they have good ideas as a foundation). There are angel investors and venture capitalists to support people with great ideas whereas in Asia, it is harder to do something from a scratch, the business is more likely to be a family business. We like how they are not afraid to fail in doing things. The valley also give people chances to get back up again.

During our visit at Stanford University, the facilities are quite different from what we have in most Thai universities. They have a building that provides rooms and tools for brainstorming and prototyping. We think it is another factor that promotes the innovative spirits of people.

With Bryan Weller, mindmapping and speed reading skills we learned are very useful for our work and study. loads of readings are not so scary anymore.

At Green MBA, we have learned that being successful in business is not everything, but how our business can grow while not being harmful to the environment is important and even more, how our businees save the environment so we can all live in a sustainble society.

"The trip is very inspiratonal for us to start thinking about what we want to do, how we can do it and the most important thing is that we must get started in whatever we want to do. Eventually, the only person holding us back from success could be us."
