Bangkok, Capital of Thailand, cover 1,568.7 km2 and has population of 5.7 million people. The city has more than 161 canals which many canals is not used for transportation and severly polluted, and The Chao Phraya River, the largest river in Thailand, which lies through the city and provide transportation of people and wasted water to the Bay of Bangkok. The city lies about 6.5ft above the sea level which heavily affect by flood in monsoon season. And this is where our study will focus on.

Bangkok's water source, and its use :
Usage of Surface Water, BOD(Biochemical Oxygen Demand) for river and canals in Bangkok is between 3.3-31.3(BMA,2010) which means it's not clean enough for household usage so it is mainly used to produce tap water, by Water Resource Department, for household and industrial use.
Usage of Ground Water, for household and Industrial is suspended since 2004, by Government, but except to some area which doesn't has access to water supply, tap water, and some industrial that got affect from tap water to use ground water but in limited amount.
Usage of Rain Water, total rainfall in Bangkok is around 1,902.4mm (BMA,2008) and bangkok's citizen store it for household usage, washing, cleaning, planting.
Bangkok residents have had plenty of water to consume and haven't used it wisely.
